Temporality: The Process of Time at CMCA

A major recent installation of mine, Entertaining Illusion, is included in a new group show at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockland, ME. The show is organized around the theme of temporality, and how different artists use time as a material in their work.
Entertaining Illusion, as well as my other piece in the show, Always Never, combine objects and video in unexpected ways, creating paradoxes that stretch our experience of time. Ephemeral moments seem to last forever, and inanimate objects take on lives of their own.
